The three across seating is a huge asset in my opinion. I think you will regret going smaller/narrower. I would go fullsize, will ride better due to NOT having struts up front, will steer easier and has loads of aftermarket support.Īnd being that you will be working it, either a 68HP 900 or the 82HP 1000 would work better. ) So at some point in the next 4-5 yeads Polaris will no longer offer support. Polaris severed ties with Fuji (Polaris bought stock back from Fuji. I would avoid that 500 - it's the old Fuji engine. There are some good deals now on new units.check so you don't over pay on a used model. The new 500s have a new engine, and are now at least 58" wide. You can haul 3 if you are medium size or smaller for short distances. 40 is about top speed.fast enough I think. Power has never been an issue with me on the 500 and is a nice size I feel.
500 POLARIS RANGER FULL SIZE
The 500 is 56 1/2" wide, while the full size have all been 60" for a while I am pretty sure.
We mostly went to full size for 60" wide. Neighbor has a 500 it's no speed demon or over powerful still a great machine we recently just bought a 1000 EPS its 60" wide fits down corn rows does 73mph amd has some real nice power I believe it's 110hp. I'm guessing my 08 is smaller the the newer style 800 and 900 are.
